So im ready to install my 550cc side feed injectors into an extra de fuel rail I have. To do this I first had to remove the old injectors. This is a PITA so heres how I got them out.

1. Turn the fuel so that the tops are facing down. Spray some sort of penatrant arount the pintle caps. Let it soak in.

2. Pry with a screw driver underneath the connector and squirt some penatrant in there.

3. Use some plyers and spin the injector around a few times

4. Now step on the fuel rail and pull the injector out from the top with a pair of plyers. We used ROBOGRIP. Be cairful not to bend the rail when you step on it.

I just pulled mine out by placing a wide blade flat-heat screwdriver under the connector portion right where it meets the rail. A little bit of gentle twisting popped them right out.

I love the step, "step on the fuel rail"...LMAO. They make really cool pullers for this sort of thing guys. But if you don't have one I suppose the prying smashing method will have to work.

node- like 350rwhp at 15psi tops, mostly. once or twice i would like to run race gas at 20psi to get an 11sec 1/4. i got a really good deal on these and i rather have more than enough fuel.

I know what your sayin thats why I went with the 550s instead if the 370s.

An 11 would be a sweet street car good luck man. I look forward to seeing those results

Twist them around a few times put the pintle caps on the bench and press down. They pop right out.

I just put the 740's in my 510 KA24DET (upgraded from 370's) should be fun in a very light car.

Last time I used a screw driver to pop a fuel injector out, I had 4 bloody knuckles and a fuel injector that flew half way across the garage. At least it was a bad injector to start with.

The last time I tried to remove it with a screwdriver, I ruined the injector. Luckily, I was upgrading to 370cc from the stockers.
