I just got my rb25 like a week ago and have been removing some things to replace them with fresh parts cause I want to avoid headaches down the road. So today I just pulled off my water pump cause its one of the things I planned on replacing specially after seeing eikons old water pump on an old post. But the damn thing looks brand new I know its only like $80 to replace but what do you guys think? Keeper or throw away.

yeah spins perfect and there was no rust at all even the fluid was pure green no signs of that red colored water some people say the have. The only thing is that old liquid seal that i need to scrap off but other than that its pretty much new.

That is how mine looked when I removed it. pristine on the inside. slight rust / oxidation on outside.

It was replaced with a new (oem) pump.

Yeah, I'd replace it. At least this way you're SURE of when it was replaced and that it's new. Especially since you already have it off + engine out of the car.

Don't even bother replacing that thing. It is almost new. Mine had a nice orange layer of sludge sitting in it.
