removed & installed intake manifold now idle jumps to 3500rpm and dies!!!!

Me and my brother removed the intake manifold because there wasnt a gasket between it and the head. We installed the manifold back in but we also took out the emmisions hoses. So now everytime we start it the idle would be at 3500-4000rpm then it just dies out.

Can the problem be caused from not plugging the hoses that goes into the intake manifold?This is on a 96 dohc btw.

You know, I'm all for taking off some of the redundant bullcrap that the KA has on it... but seriously, learn what you're doing before you go pulling **** off your car.

i blocked up some of those hoses on my bad *** honda accord and got at least 0 hp
