removed fan blower moter.help with new one!

took out the fan blower moter and tested it with two wires and it is not working. went to the parts store (autozone) they had one made by siemans for $96, called joe and theirs was $175. i have always purchased form joe in the past and was wondering if there was that big a difference in the motors?

in the end, it's always the owner's choice....is the autozone a new unit, or a core that has some newbrushes & stuff thrown in?i would stay as far as possible from a rebuilt.

fitment is often an issue with aftermarket parts. check, and double check before you leave the store, including electrical connections. make sure the squirrel cage will fit properly.

I checked and the blowers for the Q are 150... I have a working one from my parts Q for $50
