OK so i have a 90 s13 with a 93 ka in it, and while the motor was out i removed and blocked off the egr. But i did not remove what i believe is called the Swirl control valve and rod. My question is could this be causing my problems i've been having with the car not starting up correctly? because i have been thinking this whole time that i've had a timing problem such as in this thread.........
zerothread?id=273848 but i've looked through every writeup possible and i'm positive i'm setting the timing correctly. I am able to start the car up but it will not run right and won't hold idle at all and the throttle response is horrible, And now that i've been thinking about it more i remembered i never took off the secondaries in the upper intake manifold and am wondering if taking off the egr stuff and leaveing that there would cause the type of problems that i'm having? I'm just really tired of driving around in my beater honda and having to look at my 240 sitting in the garage collecting dust. I'm seriously close to just getting a whole nother motor and throwing that in, so i don't have to deal with this crap.thanks a lot in advance to those who reply.any and all help is appreciated.
