removed egr canister

when i removed my engine i misplaced my egr canister. now i have a hard line with nowhere to go. can i just remove it from the gas tank without any negative affects or am i going to have to source another canister.

I assume you mean the carbon canister. No one really keeps that too my knowledge. I just put a cap on the hardline. If you want to remove that hardline go for it. Just be sure to cap off the tank.
