Remove trailer hitch

My friend with an R50 wants me to help him remove the rusted out trailerhitch. Its just the 4 bolts that connect it to the chassis right?

Should just be the bolts on either side of the hitch. I think mine has four on each side, though your install could be different.

Make sure you have an impact wrench or a long breaker or cheater bar. If properly installed those bolts should be pretty tight, and the rust won't help things. A torch could also help things, just keep it away from any fuel lines back there. :P

Yea, I meant 8 bolts. So a plain old socket wrench won't work?

it will with some elbo grease, i soaked the bolts in wd-40 even though they werent rusted like 30 mins before, then i used a rachet and got them off, but its a little pain in the a**, but it came off.
