Remove the storage flap under the center console for a carputer?

Has anyone removed the storage door/flap under the center console? If so how do you do it? I want to put a small computer (pico or nano atx ) with a touchscreen running maemo OS. Ideally, i wanted to take out the radio, but i have the BOSE system and I heard getting aftermarket gear for it is a pain in the a**.

Anyhow, anyone else remove the door/flap thing?

Also, anyone else put a PC in their car yet?
