I'm sure this has been explained previously, but I can't seem to find the perfect solution. Many people have been complaining about the dealer's stickers above (or below) the Versa name in the back. My dealer even put one on the front bumper, instead of a decorative plate. Anyway, I was just wondering what was the best way to remove them:

1- WD-40 ? My car is Arctic White, so I don't want any stains...2- Heatgun/hairdryer ? Afraid it might create paint bubbles...3- ...

Thanks everybody !

i work at a nissan dealer and when a customer wants that sticker off..what we do is take a hairdryer to it till they just come off and any residue we get bug and tar remover and a lint free cloth and spray the bug and tar on the sticker residue and wipe it with the cloth!

I would take it back to the dealer and get them to take it off. They should oblige with no objections. If not kindly request that they pay you to advertise their dealership.

Undu (scrapbook aisle) is made for removing stickers and safe enough to use on paper. It's what I used and they just peel right up in no time.

Let's recap the possibilities:

1- Heatgun/hairdryer and tar remover2- Take it back to the dealership3- Undu4- Peel off and alcohol wipes, polish and wax5- Hot day (once a month in Québec ) and goo gone

I guess I'll use Undu since it's most likely NOT to damage the paint and requires less steps.

I always get it written in the contract that no dealer stickers be placed on my vehicle.

Well, I've spent a few minutes this afternoon to remove the dealer's stickers. As it turns out, it wasn't much of a sticker, more of a "vinyl decals" (I believe it is called), with each individual letter seperated from the other. I bought Goo Gone, but didn't even have to use it. I used a thin plastic wall scraper (worth 1$) to lift the corner of each letter and then peeled them right off. I got my car last week, so the stickers weren't too hard to lift. Glue stayed only in very few places, and rubbing it with the finger was enough to remove it. Not a scratch on it and no need for chemicals or heat.

Note to self: Goo Gone is a strong grease and adhesive remover, direct contact with skin (hands) causes instant dryness and a brief moment of panic . I kinda freaked out.
