remove scratches on windshield

hi again got another 1 for you,Last year i was going to work @ 3 am windows had frost on them and i was out of windshield washer fluid and no scraper in the truck. I ended up using a bottle of cologne i keep in my truck. here is the problem i now have scratches on my windshield from using the bottle. Is there a way to get rid of the scratches without replaces the windshield??:confused:

depending on how bad the scratches are sometimes the anti fog products like rain-x will hide scratches and chips on glass. its worth a try.

there are glass polishing kits on the market. check the link below. but be careful though, it's possible to polish too much and distort the shape of the glass. you really don't want to be driving behind a magnifying windshield.

in my state, insurance companys will pay for all glass replacements. you should check with yours

I'd actually like to know a simple way to get rid of scratches. Nobody reported back on the Rain-X... does it work, or is it an old wives tale.
