Remove sat option

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

When pressing the source button there is 2 fm, 1 am and 3 sat. I will NEVER activate the sat option and would like to remove it from the options when selecting the source button. Is there a way to accomplish this desire? thanks.

AFAIK, short of finding someone to hack the system and rewrite the base code, you can't remove it.

What year is your EX and what infotainment option do you have in it?

On my '08 with Nav & Bose system, when I hit the source button on the steering wheel it cycles through the 3 lists of presets, CD (if one is loaded), iPhone/iPod (if connected) and stored music on the HD. I've never tried a CF card though. I had a free 2 month trial of XM, but did not go forward with a subscription. Within each preset list, I was able to pick whatever stations I wanted to (didn't matter if it were FM, AM, or XM) when I set each preset. All I would do there is change the band by pressing the AM/FM/Sat button on the head unit and then set whatever station I wanted in the preset list that I was already in.

I didn't look through all the various user manuals for the different radio options and model years, so yours might be different from mine.
