Remove quarters from CD player

I have a 2007 Se-r Spec v and my 2 yr old son decided to insert some quarters into the CD player. Ugh. Anyone have instructions for removing the stereo without mangling the dash?

The trim around the stereo can be pried off with small flathead screwdriver. Pry off the the trim around the shifter by inserting screwdriver between the cracks (just take your time and go easy so as not to scratch or break anything), then do the same for the heating/AC controls. There should be a small rectangular piece at the very top just above the 2 guages that you also have to take out the same way and that will just leave you with the car stereo and guages in place. Once all the trim is removed, you should see 2 screws on the top and 2 at the bottom, unscrew those and the whole front part should be able to now come out and you can then disconnect the wiring harness for the radio.

I guess your son was giving you some " cents" have your tryed a shop vac like the one that you will see at 7-11 or a car wash maybe that will do the trick.

Haha. I'll try the shop-vac first and will let you know how it goes! It would be a little less invasive and save me from ripping my dash appart. I'm giving it a whirl this weekend.

Success! The entire dash center console pops out pretty easily. I also had to remove the rear plate from the deck to get the money. There was a total of 30 cents (1 quarter, 1 nickle)!
