I don't usually deface my bumpers, but here in SF most bumpers need work and the work is not worth it because tomorrow it will be dinged again. This due to people who can't parallel park.

That said I was dinged big time today (hood is crumpled). Looks like a good size truck purposely rolled real hard over my front bumper. The Q was parked no where near anyone and parked on a hill, with parking brake applied before putting in 'park', so hope no transmission (no pun intended) problem will come out of this besides body work. Also, no col/comp insurance either because of value of car, although I have recently put 8 grand I into it.

Just removed the NO ON PROP 8 3" circle sticker covering misc. dings on bumper. Sticker defaced too. Happened in nice neighborhood too. Not a house under 1.5M.So take out anything politically related from inside your cars as well. There are a lot of hateful people out there because of this election.

Someone removed a sticker from my pickup while it was parked downtown. The guy I sold my first Q45 to got his car spat on, and someone left an angry note (Alameda California).

Ahh, people. No respect.

Yeah, why I don't do it, as much as I liked the "George needs an intern" one.

Wow... that sucks... people are a$$es sometimes. I have always resisted the urge to ram people with offensive (to me) political stickers, but it may determine if I let them in front of me in traffic.

That's not limited to political stickers though... Clemson clad cars get non-preferential treatment too.

There was a speed trap close to Houston that if you had a sticker from the local hard rock station would garantee you a ticket and probably a full cavity seach as well...

I keep comp insurance on all my cars, if they are in good running condition it isn't that much more to cover them. I even covered my old 85' Maxima until she died, while I paid out over 11 years probably an extra $200 per year (so around $2200 over the 11years) I had two times where the car was severly bashed in (over 5k combine) and the radio was stolen out of it (another $500).

If I was parking on the Streets of San Francisco I'd have Comp, especially now you said you just dropped 8k into it.

Wow.

I don't think I believe in anything enough to have it semi permanently attached to my Q's bumper.

Yeah, the only thing I'm passionate enough about to want to show off on the back of my Q is already there... the silver Q45a badge.

I'm definitely not much of one to need to preach about anything via a sticker on my car, but 2 of my favorites are "VEGETABLES ARE NOT FOOD...THEY ARE WHAT FOOD EATS" and "EVERY TIME YOU MASTURBATE GOD KILLS A KITTEN."

My best politico comment was a T-shirt I bought in Boulder.

It had two pictures on it:

the first was of a bikini on a girl with some fur poking out the sides.. the second was a pic of George Bush.

The caption said "good bush, bad bush.
