My 2013 Pathfinder stalled one me 3 times the other night. The 4th time it wouldn't start again. It cranks like it wants to start but is starving for fuel. Someone put sugar in my gas tank and I know I have to replace the filter and flush it out. I have over 1/2 tank of gas. What's the best way to empty the tank without dropping it? Also is the fuel pump under the seat as well?

What a rotten thing to do! The filter, pump, and fuel level sensor are together as one assembly. It is mounted in the top of the tank, accessible from under the rear seats so you won't have to drop the tank. Once you have this assembly removed, you can syphon out the contaminated fuel from the tank opening where the assembly is installed. There is a section here in the service manual that might help you with the assembly removal, starting on page FL-6 >>> https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 3%2FFL.pdf

A note here on sugar in the tank. Flushing out all that granulated sugar without dropping the tank can be quite the chore in itself. Since sugar does not dissolve in gasoline, the granules of sugar quickly clog up the filter so getting all the sugar out that has settled to be bottom of the tank is important. Otherwise, the new filter will also get clogged up and you will have to start over. Here is a lengthy YouTube video that deals with all that and more to get the entire fuel system cleaned.
