Always a good idea. I wish more dealerhips would just use a plate frame. I've got a friend in Chicago that won't buy a car if its got the sticker on it, unless the dealer removes it.R350Zz33 wrote:also another solution would be to buy a z with out a stealership logo on it. like mine they give you plate frames with there name on it instead.

A safer approach is to take a stip of duct tape, wrap it across the blade of a putty knife and then heat the blade a little with a heat gun and ease that under the edge of the decal. If its a large dealer emblem you'll need to take some time and reheat the blade from time to time and maybe even peel off the duct tape and reapply a new strip or two. Once you've got an corner or edge raised you can probably ditch the putty knife and use a squegee like the kind used to lay down vinyl graphics to remove the rest.
Patience is the key!
Goo Gone (its not goon Richie) is ok for removing residue but I'd personally use either clay bar or something along the lines of Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner to get rid of the remnants.
