Remove clear headlight cover?

2010 SL AWD
The passenger headlight has some kind of deposits on the inside of the cover that make the plastic less clear. Polishing the outside does nothing.
What does it take to remove this cover so I can see about polishing the inside?

I don't remember seeing any posts about removing the headlight cover.

Doing a google search of : "remove headlight cover" has some tutorials.

Doesn't look too easy, seems you need to remove the whole headlight and some say bake it.

Sounds crazy but i have done it with my pathfinder..,buy a baby bottle cleaner (they are long and bendy with a sponge on the end), take out the H11 bulb and try and wiggle it around to clean.. worth a shot... didn't do a great job on my pathfinder, but did help a little.

Well that does sound a little crazy.
It might be an option I guess, but I'd hate to make it worse, y'know.
I'll keep it in mind if this turns out to be as difficult as I'm beginning to suspect.

take the whole headlight out of the car
remove all accessories & bulbs
bake the whole headlight at 350F for 10-15mins or until soft.
remove lens.

then reheat, before reapplying the lens.

Now that's crazy!
Removing the headlight assy seems to require all sorts of front end disassembly. I don't believe I have the time/tools for all that.
I think I'll just try the bottle cleaner thing when it gets too bad.
