Remove brake pedal.

I've done it on another car when doing a 5 spd conversion, now i'm doing it again and I just cant get it this time around. I don't want to cut the auto one. I took out the 5 bolts that hold it in, i've took the 4 bolts that hold up the steering column and I just can't maneuver it out. Jesus fricken Christ, how do you guys do it?

I hear you. That's one of the toughest tasks that I had to do when I did 5 speed swap. There's not much space down there. Pull the booster from engine room and it'll give you more room. You are having a hard time because of the bolts on the booster.

I found installing clutch pedal is much easier than swapping brake pedals.

for a 5spd swap

many people just cut the auto pedal and slip the manual rubber cover on. i did mine just last night and i decided to go with swapping the entire brake pedal only because i already had the steering column completely removed to install an aluminum steering bushing. with the steering column completely removed it was a piece of cake. i actually swapped all 3 pedals from my manual s13

You still need the 5spd brake pedal cause the auto one is too damn long it can hit the clutch pedal. Well in mine I kept the auto pedal without cutting it, but people complain when they drive my car cause they like to hit the brake when they step on the clutch. Like I don't want to cut the pedal because1. it's not my car2. it would be roughed edge and even if it were rounded off, it wont look stock.3. the guy we bought the car from included all 5spd parts for me to convert it to 5spd, including the pedals. My as well use it, it'll look less ghetto.

you pull the rubber cover off and THEN cut, don't cut through the rubber piece too. if you cut the auto pedal and slip the manual pedal cover over it, it will look perfectly stock
