Remove Back Speakers on 91 F/B

Can anybody show me how to remove the speakers from the back of my 91 240sx F/B? I can't seem to find a way to get to them.

FYI: A few years back a guy tried to get to them and broke off the cover!

i just did it last night. first, pop off the plastic grill/cover with a flat headed screw driver. then, unscrew the 4 screws holding the speaker in. how is it that hard?

Because 2 of those screws hling it in are in that ittibiddyliving space under the back windows. Find a little screwdriver that you can turn and break 'em loose. Its hard. If I could do it, I would have new rear speakers too.

You planning to put speakers back in that spot? I had to use my stubby screwdriver. Was fixing to list a process to get it out but going to be easier just to get a stubby screwdriver. It's like what $2 at the most for one and it will be useful in future projects on your car.

I didn't have a small enough stubby. So I used a socket wrench with one of those screwdriver bits from a power drill stuck in a small socket.

I took a gerber pocket tool dealy with the attachable bits and stuck the bit on the srew and took the pliers and used them to grip and turn the bit.

Anybody know what the benefit of the plastic mounting pieces are? I ended up taking them out completely. (weight reduction, haha, jk)
