Looks to me (from FSM pics and instructions), after you remove the belt and 2 bolts on side and 1 on front, that it would drop down. What's in the way?

there is a bar "not sure the name" but it looks like I have to drop the engine just to slide it out, was hoping there was an easier way.

You referring to the tension rod? Here's another members pic of their old and new tension rods:

Has a circle with rubber bushing on the front end, and two large bolts on the other?

If so, just remove it. Just make sure when you reinstall it NOT TO TIGHTEN THE BOLTS THROUGH THE RUBBER BUSHING *TIGHT* UNTIL THE CAR IS ON THE GROUND OR YOU WILL DESTROY THE BUSHING!!!!!!

Only 3 bolts, should come right out.

Hey Jack,Got it all done finally, I had to drop the sub frame as low as it would go and keep the engine elevated. I used 3 jacks what a nightmare but worth the cool air! Thanks for all your help
