Hey Guys,

I am trying to pass wires through the front of the centre console of my 2.5S so that I can install my neons under my dash and put the switch control box in the container (that is right under the radio and A/C controls).

What is the best way to remove that container or to get to behind it so that I can see the best way to pass the wires through??

I appreciate any input regarding this topic.

Thanksss

There should be screws on the corners of the top. First, you'll have to remove the trim piece around the head unit, and use this write up to do that.

after that you should be able to see the screws, I think theyre phillips heads, but every once and a while theres some crazy star screws or hex bolts you come across. Just be prepared. As for the rest, it should be easy to dind them, then pull it out. I don't have pics, but I would imagine someone here might. Just try it first, get the trim plate off, which is very easy, then poke around and try and determine it yourself. It's a good learning experience too! and if you still can't Ill see if I can get a few pics next time I do some work on my system.

Hi,

Thanks for the great input. I am heaving difficulty removing the compartment that is right under my A/C controls - the one that is closer to the front the car infront of the transmission. I need to take that part off, but the pics that are provided in the manual have a different compartment set up since the Altima is is a different trim.

I need to get that (the one right infront of the transmission as seen in the pic below) compartment out so that I can access behind it to pass wires through it (one wire to the front passengers dashboard and the otehr to the drivers dashboard).http://us.autos1.yimg.com/img....0.jpg

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been trying to do this for quite a while.

Thanks...- Black Altima

Did you try removing the head unit trim, as in the plastic surface around the unit? I'm sure you can easily run the wire behind the factory stereo. Everything back there is open and connected. In fact, right behind the head unit theres an open space all the way from the drivers instruments to the passenger airbag and glove box. Ill see if I can find something in my pics. Also, do you know how to use the factory service manual? Go to the general forums and click on the read first/how to. its in that post. it tells you how to do everything imaginable.
