I need some advice from anyone whos taken off the cloth over their glovebox..after you tear off the cloth it leaves some yellow/organge foam **** underneath that I cant get off without using sand paper...

if anyone has any clue howto remove this crap without giving myself tennis elbow from sanding my brains out, let me know....

thanks in advance.-chet

yeah, I tried scraping it off with a razor knife. didn't work to well.

I eventually just scraped the whole thing down so it doesn't stick out very far and spray painted it black. doesn't look too shabby.

as for removing it all together... soak it in hot water?

Well I have tried a variety of different materials and combinations. Its not too hard except for the damn area around the handle. I can never get that to look good. I am just going to wait until I get my seats and door panels redone professionally and have them do the glove box @ the same time

Quit your whining and take a belt sander to that *****. It's all about power tools, E-K, power tools. They're designed to make our lives easier. ;)

I don't want to see you in here crying like a nine-year-old girl again. Waaaaaaah, fuzzies, waaaaaaah...:rolleyes

Your buddy,

OK..tried turpentine, and mineral spirits..those worked OK, I guess..no major changes...grabbed some paint remover, that seemed to do some good, but it had to sit for 5 minutes before i noticed anything....

so tommorow, I'm off to the store to buy acetone! woohoo. that should do it...then do a light sand all across it and be done...*sigh*/me kicks dash panel across floor-chet
