Its magic ! Well, not really.
Just requires a little bit of creative millwork (with a Dremel) to carve out enough space to get the injector covers out (there already is enough space for the removal of the injectors themselves).

Here's an example of where I milled the plenum to allow access:

Yup, its a PITA the first time around, BUT, you won't have to deal with the removal of the plenum for subsequent injector issues.

Did this work for every injector? how much material is left before you would break though into the intake? did you have to cut almost though to get enough room or was room plentiful? I have had my intake off at least a dozen times chasing fuel issues. finally got it running right but still thinking about doing this to make it easier next time!

Yes, works for every injector !

Far easier to address with the plenum off (I did it with the plenum on - in fact, I have yet to remove it !).
Basically, the square "tabs" on the underside of the plenum block access to half of the screws holding the injectors in place. This is visually apparent. During manufacturing, the tabs could've been machined off (or not cast in the first place!), but that would be too easy !

Be CAREFULL ! Don't mill off more than is required to gain access from a reasonable angle, and maneuver the injector cover ! Test as you go ! You are getting close (to milling through) if you are milling beyond where the "tab" would be if it didn't exist (this requires some visualization/depth perception on your part) No, you won't be able access the "tabbed" screws straight through (you'll definitely mill through the plenum before you get there!) Although, in the pic, it appears as though the access is straight through, there is somewhat of an angle to access the "tabbed" screw. I used hex cap screws and ball-end hex keys to accomplish this. I still had to bevel some of the screw heads (versus additional plenum milling) for proper accessibility. I trashed a few of those crappy Phillips screws getting them out the first time - one required a screw extraction.

As I said, its a PITA the first time through, but after that, injector work is a breeze !

Old news, there are many write ups on this procedure since the early 2000's; LOL

IMHO, if you are doing more than 2 injectors, easier to pull the plenum.

Good work, none the less.

And FWIW, I dremel all those screw access points when I had my plenum off; now removing the injectors is a breeze.
