i have 1976 datsun 620 lil husler with L20B engine i just got through replacing the complete engine and transmission what i want to know is can i do away with all the emissions crap or at least part of it legally and technally in other words will it still work and how do i go about it

Legally.....no. Messing with the emissions equipment is generally against federal regulations. If you live a county without smog check though then I wouldn't worry about it. The engine will run fine without the smog equipment as long as you block off any vacuum lines that you remove hoses from and plug any holes such as the egr. In my opinion it has no benefit except cleaning up the engine bay. I'm trying to restore all the emissions equipment on my 77 to pass CA emissions.
