I just bought a nice red 2003 G35 coupe. Whenever the A/C or heat is on, it blows air that smell quite strong of some sort of air freshener scent. I checked the cabin air filter and it is not there. I noticed that the smell is quite strong at the dash air vents. Someone must have put drops of some kind of liquid air freshener in the vents. How can I remove the vents so that I can clean them?

Thanks

Try drying it out by leaving your fan on Max speed for a couple of hours when you are not driving. Be careful not to drain your battery though.

btw,Welcome to Nico and post some pics of the new ride!

The cabin filter was my first guess so I removed it and checked it. It was not the source.

OK - is it the vents on either side of the radio. If so you will have to remove the radio. There is a Manual within the index thread here that will show you how to revove the stereo/ac unit.
