Removal of Cargo Rails/Roof Rails 2009 SL

I do not really like the roof rails on my 09 Murano SL and I am wondering if there is a way to remove them? If so is there a tutorial posted somewhere? Links would be appreciated.

Turns out that my wife likes and wants to keep the roof rails. Since it is her car I guess they will stay.
