On the front bumper there is a small square piece that is removable and allows you to screw in a tow hook. I was looking for mine in the trunk where the spare tire is and I saw a shape that looks like the tow hook cut out in that Styrofoam but I did not have anything there. So I went to the local parts depo at Nissan and they told me they don’t make it any more!!! Anyone know where I can get one? The GTR also has this screw in feature and I saw that Stillen made this license plate thing. Here’s the link, http://blog.stillen.com/2008/11/

When my battery kept dying, I could not get the car towed the usual way. Nissan Canada does not make hooks for our cars, so your Nissan should be the same way down south.

yes, but i was doing some stupid things in the snow and got stuck, i had to dig for like 15min to get to the hooks under the engine. and i talked to the nissan parts guy and he said that they sold the screw in tow hooks before but for some reason nissanstopped producing them. i was wondering if there is a store that sells them or if anyone knows the thread and i can just make my own.

Seems like people are having enough trouble finding a stock tow hook let alone a nice looking aftermarket one.

I remember when I had to get my car towed, like a week or so after I got my Stillen Fascia put on, and the tow truck pulled my car onto the bed and I had to watch my bumper get scraped to hell as it was going up.

i have made a few 3D models of a much more agressive tow hook. but i will not be makeing them. i will be passing the idea to my friend that works with and makes car parts. idk if i will even get one for free. but if i do get any i will be sure pass them on to you guys to see what you think and if you recommend them.

The tow hook is a 24mm for the new Altima's, which actually is the same as the GT-R and a ton of other Nissan's.

There are tow hooks available, it's a track/drift car thing, you can search around for them. You'll just need to make sure of the depth..

Titanium, aluminum, painted.. there's a ton of options available.

We use it for our license plate bracket for those that need a front plate but don't want to drill into the bumper.. but you can use it for whatever..

cool. thanks josh. i will most likely get a GRT one then. but i will still present the idea to my friend. this is a rough look at what i made in Solid Edge.and this one the hook part can be moved up or down because of the screw.
