I did a search and found nothing useful. I have been considering installing a quick release hub with a locking cover in addition to my present alarm. I understand full well that whatever is going to be is going to be. I just want to buy enough time to pop a cap in somebody's a ss while they are be-ing. I would prefer my car get broken into then stolen out right. At any rate, I have considered an NRG hub with lockable cover. Seems to be the best looking unit w/out that sorry looking rubber spacer cover thing. I have no audio in the car, and my gauges are installed in that space. My Sparco is not going anywhere with out a plasma cutter or saws all, I am just getting a bit worried about the g-ride. She has been attracting more attention than I like, and the last time that happened, someone broke in and managed to steal my kouki tail lights and tore up my dash in the process of going for my radio. Sorry for the long post. There is a lot of personal attachment to this car. Could care less about the "things" just need to know the car will still be there.

My apologies. I didnt think to check the 240/silvia forum. However, I found your thread. One thing still escapes me. Am I looking for the quick release AND the steering wheel hub, or would this be a complete kit? Sorry, this is new ground for me. I am kind of fond of the stock steering wheel and the only reason I never bought an aftermarket wheel is because of that black boot thing. Looks tacky.

Yeah, the NRG short hub looks good. very sleek. If you use that with the quick release, then it will retain close to stock position. Whatever you do, don't do what I did and buy the short hub and the short quick release. You will have clearance issues. I had to remove all the stuff from the middle of it, so now I wired my horn to a button that I put on my dummy pedal. It works well. I usually just convince people that I made my shifter pressure sensitive and that I wired my horn up to that. They fall for it every time.
