Remounting the ECU??

Does anyone else wonder why the Nissan engineers made the ECU so hard to get to? Anyone ever tried to remount it so you can read the thing easier?? Im gonna look this over and see it can be done fairly painlessly.Be honest ..anyone else driving around with their ECU flopped out on the floor while they troubleshoot thier codes?? What a goofy setup.

After a closer look at this setup..i have determined that you can turn the ECU around (inside the existing bracket)so the activator screw and lamp face away from the firewall. I forgot that the CEL on the dash also blinks the codes along with the red lamp on ECU. That issue being resolved , I also found out that the "self diagnostic mode select" switch is nothing more than an on/off swith that I am goin to remotely mount so that i can access my codes without pulling the kick panel, etc etc. If you open the ECU you will see 2 green wires. Basically the wires are to be shorted in RUN mode and open in DIAGNOSTIC mode. Now to figure out where i want my remote switch.Hope this helps others.
