Can someone tell me exactly which wire in the trunk is safe to tap for constant signal/voltage? On if the radio is on or off. I need a remote wire for something.
Thanks. 2008 M35 none premium.

If the wire you're looking for is the REMOTE WIRE, then it would be the solid brown. That's what it is in my 2006 M45

Do you mean this brown wire from this harness?

Do you have a navigation and how many speakers do you have? It will be easier for me to try to find the right wire so I can look at the right amp.

Yes navigation, 1 sub and 1 speaker in each door, and the tweeter in the front door.

Could you take a clearer picture of the harness without the scissor? I'm leaning more on the VOILET wire now instead of BROWN.

If you want to double check. You can do so here http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/M/2008/ click the link AV.pdf and go down to page 631 and down, you will see that all description under ACC has "V" for violet wire.

yeah, the violet wire gave me 6V. But it wasn't enough to activate my relay, so I went another route. Thanks for your effort anyway.

I tapped into a 12V feeding my touchscreen. I didnt do that before because I was grounding the relay to the ground of the touchscreen and because of that the relay wasn't activating. I decided to ground it somewhere else and the relay kicked in.
