I just finished installing the amp for my sub and everything works great except for the remote turn-on wire. I tried coming off the amp-on wire by the factory amp (i think it was black/green) but it only seems to be putting out 6.5v. I tried coming off the amp on wire behind the factory headunit (black/pink i think) and had no luck there.

Anybody else have any issues? Is there a downside to coming off of something that is just 12v ignition switched so the amp is on when the car is on (not just when the radio is on)? I think I saw someone that tapped into a fuse somewhere?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Black/pink is almost always the mute for mobile phones. I believe the amp turn-on from the head unit is the blue with a white stripe.
