Remote trunk release

Hello there,

I need some help in locating and fixing an issue. My sister owns an 07 Nissan Sentra SE and the trunk release button on both the remotes will not work. Locking and unlocking door buttons on both the remotes will work. We tried changing the battery on both the remotes and nothing. The pull cable under the seat works so the cable would not be the problem.

I tried to locate the fuse (if there is a separate one for the trunk) but was unsuccessful in location it . Could this be the mechanical release under the trunk (busted motor)?

Do you hear any kind of click or anything that is like the actuator is trying to work, or just nothing?

There was nothing. no sound.
