Any body now of an easy "add on" (Preferably Stock Item) for the 2001 QX4 for a remote starter that's got Lock/unlock, trunk buttons for the same vehicle?
Thank you

I have a remote start on my 2002 Pathfinder (as well as my 2006 Altima).
Had both of them installed at a specialty shop. Not an easy DIY, that's for sure.
Took the pros about 6 hours per vehicle. It would have taken me 2 days.

Thinking about doing mine with a Clifford alarm, but just lazy. There are a few ads I have seen for $200 complete installs at those stereo shops with a Viper remote start. I am sure it will cost more since I need the bypass module for the keys and a couple extra relays.

I had installed one back when I owned a 1999 G20 and it was my first time installing a remote start about 9 years ago. Took me about 4 hours to do. The main thing you will need is a FSM and read the instructions multiple times. Get a good understanding of where everything will be and then lay everything out. I will stress that you have everything planned out and have a back up plan in case you do mess up. I had a spare vehicle so I wasn't worried about that. Plan that it is going to take you at least the whole day to do. I will also recommend soldering and heat shrinking everything for the best connection.
