...is something we don;t have have in our 2012. This is basically my wife's car and she wants remote start in the worst way :-)

Any recommendaions from forum members as to the best brand(s) to consider?

My wife has the compustar 2 way remote, 3000' range and she's happy with it.

any major brand is fine. its not about the brand; its about how much you are looking to spend, and the additional features that are offered (app control, alarm, aux functions, etc)
