ok, the window roll up answer is on the table of contents page!

regarding the remote start lockup... I'm not sure about that... my car has never locked up on me and I've had my remote starter installed for a year... however, I do not keep it started up for too long since I'm in Cali, so perhaps I;v never let it run long enough for it to lock up

also, could you bee a little more clear about what you mean "lock up"

Normally, when you remote start your car, do you get in and press the brake pedal, and the car switches from off to ACC to on? If so, is it not going from OFF to ACC to on during your "lock up" incidents. You have to be a little more clear in your explanation!

that clears i up for me I think... ok, when you install a remote starter in our cars, there's two ways that you can do it... one of them includes using the factory kill switch (not recomended by DEI, AUTOPAGE, or other big name companies)

the reason this method of installation is not recommended is because with the factory kill switch connected, when you get in and press the brake pedal, the car will turn off, thus causing you to have to turn the car back on.. which as you mentioned defeats the purpose of a remote start system.

the CORRECT way to install your remote start should have been to disengage the factory kill switch and use the aftermarket alarm's kill switch. by doing so, you can set the car up to remote start, and then, when you get in your car, you just hit the brake pedal (AND DO NOT HAVE TO PRESS THE START BUTTON) and the vehicle will automatically switch from OFF to ACC to ON, and then you can just drive off

so, the bottom line is that if , after you start the car via remote start, you can not just get in, and press the brake pedal, and the car does not automatically go from OFF-> ACC-> ON... then your shop installed your remote start alarm incorrectly! Same goes for that other NIssan they say they worked on as well!

Sorry, I just called my installer.... the website is at http://www.directtechs.com, but you need a password to pull it up, and they won't release their password to me!

but that shop should have access to it if they're worth their salt! You can always call the Better business Bureau if they give you any hassle about fixing the problem!
