Remote starter in a J30

Has anyone ever installed a remote starter/alarm in a 93 J30?

I am about to do mine and wanted to know your experiences and advice.

Never in a J30, but I've done it in both Q45s. If you don't have the FSM, don't try it until you get one!

I need to explore this as well. It's friggin cold up here in Chicago. Heath, what system did you use. I've looked into them and Commando seems to be pretty resonable. Any thoughts?

I have the Viper 550ESP in Q2... Q1 has whichever Viper was available in 1995 or 1996. The dealers aren't supposed to sell over the counter, but you can find them on the internet sometimes.

They are very reliable. I haven't had one problem with the remote start or the alarm falsing.

From what I understand, our Gov. and higher State officials also use the remote start for security purposes... like someone couldn't put a delay on a bomb

I have worked in the mobile security business for about 4 years and I personaly would't have anything on my car unless it's made by DEI, if you just want a keyless and remote start go with the Valet 552T, I have a Viper 150 ESP on my '91 240SX manual transmission and have had no complaints from it.
