Remote Starter for A New 2013 M37X

Hello Everyone out there in Infiniti M37 members. I'm new to this forum having traded in a 2010 G37X for a new 2013 M37X last week.,(early Termination with 3 Month Waiver of lease Payments with Pull Ahead).

I was offered for a cost of $585.00 the installation of a Remote starter for the car. It's NOT factory but it is a dealer add-on with new car Warranty. I went ahead with my decision and it was installed the other day. The Service Advisor at the dealership knew much more about it then the Salesperson. The Advisor, who just moved to Greenwich Infiniti in Greenwich CT (she moved from Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY), explained that the Parking brake needs to be engaged in order for the RS to work. That's a PIA since I rarely engage the Parking Brake.

I'm curious if any of you folks have a different set up. On MyG37.com , one member indicated that his system does not require that, BUT once in a Blue Moon, it behaves a little "Funky" and will suddenly turn off? It's interesting that the new 2013 (or is it 2014 Nissan Altima) DOES offer a Factory Remote Start [5 button FOB], but it was not offered on the Infinits.
