Any recommendations for a remote starter for the 2007 Maxima? Dealer tried an Audiovox unit but had mixed results because of the Intelligent Key system. Surely someone has successfully installed a remote starter with the Intelligent Key system on the 2007 Maxima. Appreciate your comments.

I would contact your local dealer's service department, and see if they have any suggestions.

Thanks but the Nissan dealer is the one having the problem! No one at Nissan seems to know how to install a remote starter on the 2007 Maxima equipped with the Intelligent Key system.

Have you approached any non-dealer installers to see if they have experience with Nissan iKey cars? Maxima, Versa, and Murano come with it that I know of. See if anyone has successfully installed a system on any of those cars ('07+).

strange how the dealer don't know about it but for that you need a bypass module you have to buy it seperatly from the maker of the remote starter i remember i had to get one of those when i installed a remote start on my benz, for that you have to put a spare key instide the module and hook it to the brain of the remote starter. If you doing it by your self and has no prevoius experiance i recomend you take it to some shop that does that kinda things, i need everything to be perfect factory so it gave me very hard time. think circuit city or best buy might do it.D

Yes you can have it done. You just need to be willing to sacrifice having another key made and programmed ( NOT CHEAP-must be done at the dealer I believe) just to sit in a module under your hood. But with that u can have remote start.
