Remote starter doesnt work all the time

my remote starter doesnt work when i need it to it seems to work only after the truck is warm which is pretty pointless. is it the remote starter or something else whats the word.

is the remote starter Nissan factory or aftermarket?

honestly i bought the truck with the starter, the remote for the starter has no markings on it because there all rubbed off, so i assume its pretty old. i doubt its nissan

I installed alarms for years and the reason why its probably not starting when its cold is one because the Remote Start it self is not cranking long long enough when you try to start it. When its cold does it try to start and die or what. or another reason is that the Tach wire that your remote start is connected to needs to be relarned. if you take a pic of the remote i can help you alot more..

thanks bro i got it on e-bay i was wondering if i should take or leave the nissan emblem i stuck on the front off. i think its different. anyway im at work ill try and snap a picture of the remote tonight.

wow that is a DEI alarm/Remote Start that is actually before 01 like your qx4 which means that was boughten and put in some other car ripped out and put in your rig. Not really sure what to tell you take it to a car audio shop and tell them what i told you and see if then look at it in the parking lot with out them charging you if it is as simple as i think it is its a fairly easy fix that will cost you nothing if they are nice.. let me know..
