Sounded like a great idea until I read the details. Seems it isn't compatible with ANY M models.

Infiniti - push to start

02. 2012-2013 EX37
03. 2009-2012 FX35
04. 2013 FX37
05. 2009-2013 FX50
06. 2011-2013 G25
07. 2007-2008 G35
08. 2008-2013 G37
09. 2014 QX50
10. 2014 QX70

Features:
1. Compatible with push to start, automatic transmission
2. Complete kit, all parts included
3. No special tool need, no dealer programming required
4. Car can not drive without the smart key
5. If your car is not shown, then is not compatible
6. 12 wires installation, 2-3 hours installation time
7. Installation manual & vehicle wiring schematic
8. Free tech support, phone & online

The only brand I remember reading about that seemed to work was made by Viper and I think you had to buy the alarm that comes with it.

I had the dealer install one for me on my 2006 M35 That used the fob but didn't need to by a total alarm kit.

So purchase the viper remote start and you can start it from your fob

I believe with the viper, you have to use the viper fob which is clearly not what you are looking for. There was a thread about a system that will allow you to start the car with your phone. I inquired at my dealership about adding remote start to the fob and they told me Infiniti has one (or had one), but my dealership stopped installing them as there was 'trouble' on the M models. They wouldn't be more specific. I don't know if the word trouble meant electrical problems, or if my dealer simply had a less-than-qualified installer working on them and that is why they stopped.
If your car has a warranty, that could also be an issue as the warranty peeps could blame the remote for related problems they might otherwise have paid claims for.

I found this video on YouTube that details a remote start using OEM fob and a long range fob:

If you do a search for 'remote start' you will find lots of threads on the subject like this one:

That's exactly what I'm talking about I would love to have that installed in to my M35x. I would come in handy in those cold days walk up to the car and it's already warned up and at operational temp, or on this hot days and the car is nice and cooled off. Would the one they installed on the G in the YouTube video work on our M35X?

According to the installer in the video, that unit came from a company called Crime Stopper. Perhaps you can find their website and ring them up to see if they make a model that is proven to be compatible with the M models. If so, then you simply find an installer in your area who will do the job.
I live near the bottom of Florida so we have no cold days and even in the hottest of days, the car cools down in about 3 minutes so I decided not to add this feature. Also I have a warranty and did not want to give the warranty peeps any excuse for not covering electrical or other issues.

Where in NY are you? I've posted this before, look up SalTronics, he does numerous Ms on the viper and will do your fob. If you want security with the install...be able to blame infiniti...go through Pepe Infiniti (I can't stand them) they will contract him to install it but it will be about $150 more than he charges direct.

Omg, I just watched the video and had no idea it was that simple installing a remote start. Everytime someone mentioned remote start I was catching flash backs of my dad back in the days splicing dozens of wires doing his remote installs. I didn't know everything had T plugs now. I'm calling viper this week to see if I can get a manual to see their installation instructions. If I only have to splice a couple five wires or so like this I'm doing it. The g37 should be similar to the m35.

Thought I would share this with you, I bought one for my wife's car and had the Geek Squad at Best Buy install it for me. Here is the one I bought. I think they charged me around $120 to install it.

Does this one work with your OEM FOB? So you bought it and had best buy install it I thought they would only install items purchased there

That model does NOT work on our cars. According to their website, the unit for M35/M45 is called EVO-ONE.
http://fortin.ca/en/products/evo-series/evo-one/
You would need to find an installer who is familiar with the product and is willing to install it even though you did not buy the product from them .... and hopefully that installer will provide a warranty against anything that goes wrong later.
There is a disclaimer on the website that states:
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE SOLD, INSTALLED AND SUPPORTED BY A CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL.

Not sure what that means? Certified by EVO specifically? Certified auto mechanic?

Here is the one I actually ordered (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Add-On-Remote-S ... 54&vxp=mtr) and had to have the flash link updater because for some reason there was an error in the pre downloaded program . But so far it seems to work fine, have had it on there for a couple of months now with no issues. I did go back and look at my receipt and they charged me $99 for the install. And YES it does work with the factory key fob using the lock button three times. I would suggest to get the flash link updater in case the installer needs to change any of the settings or for any other issues or updates. You may also want to go directly through the distributor (may be able to save some money) instead of ebay, it is www.mypushcart.com . Call them and they can make sure you order the right one, seem to have a knowledgeable tech support staff. I hope this helps and good luck.
