When you push the start button-yes the motor starts and you can take off; OEM style. Are you saying the motor is already going, initiated by the OEM fob when you push the start button? Whoa!Booboo95 wrote:It is the orignal key fob. Works with both fobs that came with the car. when you start it and get inside all you have to do is push the start button and take off.I will find out if it is aftermarket or factory.
Wouldn't that mean anyone who comes and presses the button on the door handle can just open the door? Doesn't sound too safe.IlyaKol wrote:I've heard of this before.
Basically, you installed a THIRD fob somewhere in the car. From what I've heard (limited info).
I would suggest this place called One Way Auto sports. They are official and I have used them in the past. If anyone can do it, they can. onewayautosports.comTDot wrote:Anyone in NY/NJ/CT doing this? ...before I go to the dealer and they charge me an arm and leg.

Or if it is true, is it a matter that it wasn't fully explained and the alarm portion can't be programmed to the FOB, but the starter still can?

There are benefits to buying it from the retailer that installs it. Ask my last customer that brought me internet product that ended up being B stock junk. Not trying to sound like a prick, but there's a reason everything so cheap on the internet.
