Remote start

I was just wondering if enybody tried to put remote start for J30.Is it a pain to install?

I have a remote start on my J. It is by Avatal. It is just the remote start and not the whole remote start/alarm combo.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how much of a pain it is to put in because I paid someone to do it for me.

Here is what I can tell you though. The guy who installed the remote starter only took about 30 minutes to do the whole job. He only needed one extra relay--and I believe that this was to help tie the Avatal remote FOB to be able to unlock/lock my doors, and open the trunk.

The installer didn't use the hood sensor either as he said that the sensor will usually rust or cause some problem in the future.
