I was installing a remote start on a 05' altima. I was popping the ring off around the ignition slot to put a bypass wire ring around it. This simulates the key being there so you can remote start the car. As I pulled the ring off, some of the fine copper wire wrapped around the ignition slot pulled loose. Now the car won't start at all. Is there a way of reconnecting the wires or am I going to have to replace the ignition cylinder?

You can try to reconnect them, but it probably is going to be all for not. You will most likely need a new immobilizer ring. You do not need an entire ignition cylinder though.
