remote start info for 06 murano

I just purchase an 06 murano that had a new key programed for according to carfax. I noticed that if i hit the lock button on the key fob that the car attempts to start, (turns over but no start). If you put the key in the ignition (not turned to on) and hit the lock button on the key fob twice it will start. anyone know how i can get the remote start to work without the key in the ignition? thanks for your help.

Is the battery in the keyfob a fresh one? If you have to put the key in then it sounds like the battery might be getting weak. Either that or the vehicle is having trouble accepting the security code wirelessly, maybe from an incomplete program? Not really sure, just some things to think about.
