I have a 2007 G35X loaner till next Wednesday when the work will be dome on my M45. The key fob they gave me sys it has remote start. Is there a pre-set key sequence to use remote start or is it different on every car? If it is pre-set can someone help me out with the sequence. I looked through the manual and did a search but could not find the info.

I haven't heard of a G35 with remote start, but I'd love it lol. One of the newer MY owners should be able to chirp in here and give you some information.

BTW. I love your MY M45. I don't know why Infiniti moved away from that body style.

No, it doesn't have a remote start. It has the push button start though, which I'm sure you've already figured out.

Is there a brand name on the remote? On my previous one I had to hold te start button for more than 2 seconds.

It is the standard 4 button remote, for the newer Infiniti's. The tag attached to the fob says "2007 g35x remote start" I thought it may refer to keyless, push button start, but I was playing around with the fob, pushing buttons and accidentally started the car. I just can't figure out the key sequence to repeat.

Did you try the lock, lock, unlock?

Yeah that would be awesome if they did. Does anyone know if the G37 does?

I think this is the standard remote...I actually found out that it will work with lock, lock, unlock...or lock, lock, lock

Hmmmm...

After reading this yesterday, I went down to my parking garage and tried both of these sequences on the key fob to see if she would start... Nothing! I've never heard that this was an option, but i'm still curious... As you may have read in Gwoods post last night, Phoenix gets VERY hot this time of year, so being able to fire that mother up a few minutes before departure to cool her off would be great! Can anyone confirm if this is standard equipment????? I can't imagine that the dealer would add this on as an option to a loaner car...

I have that same remote, as a matter of fact, I think all the new infinitis have that remote, so I don't know which ones may have auto start. I called Infiniti parts and they say that none of the Infinitis come with remote start. And inorder for the infinitis to have remote start, they have to hide a intel key in the car... hmm... Anyone got anything on this subject?

Do you have the 5AT or 6MT? The alarm place I called quoted me around $600 which included an aftermarket alarm with remote start capability and some sort of bypass because I have a clutch.

$600 for a remote start and alarm is VERY good. I service the dealership here and YES that post earlier is an aftermarket remote starter system added to the factory keyless. There is NO factory Remote Starter system at this time for the 07-09 M, 07-09 Altima, 07-09 G, 08-09 Rogue, or any other newer model with the 3 types of IntelliKey systems. To do the install correct there is a bypass that is needed so you DO NOT have to give up a key. It is more expensive to do it this way but it will work in conjunction with the factory keyless/alarm.
