Try setting it for crank time and see if it works that way. Try setting the crank for about .8 or 1 seconds. If so, then you have the wrong tach signal or you didn't learn it. You can tap for tach signal at any injector or the tach wire. If you tap a injector, it needs to be the wire that is NOT common among all of the injectors.

If you are tapping the actual tach wire, then it is a yellow/red at the ECU, pin 3 I believe. Or just tap a injector wire and learn it the same way.

yeah i dont think it's allowing me to learn the tach signal.. because it's not pluged in at the right wire.. so it's the yellow wire with a red strip or dashes? im going to have to check tommrow.. and try it.. i thought i could attach it to the green wire on my safc 2 but i guess it was the wrong one..

ok.. checked the rpm sensor wiring and it seems to be right.. it was a yellow with silver dashes wire.. i could tell because my green safc2 wire was going into it and the manual states that the green was the rpm sensor.. i tried to do the tach sense but my alarm just wont do it.. the process is "starting the car and within 5 sec, press the vallet button untill it goes solid. then the tach sense is learned.. but when i press the button nothing happens at all.. when i open the door, and press the button it goes back into program mode.. and if i press the button once quickly when i start the car it goes into vallet mode.. this is frustrating.. how do i get my car to learn the tach sense

you can also set the unit up to run of voltage thats a lot easier only thing is you have to adjust the crank timing when the seasons change cuz it usually takes longer for the car to start the colder it gets.

Are you holding the button until the LED lights up?
