Hi guys, This question is for the people out there that have a remote start alarm already installed in their car. Yes I've done a few searches already but I want some fresh answers if possible.

I have the Viper 5901 installed on my Mustang so I know how it works.
I just a few questions for my Altima.
Yes I know it can be installed to work with the OEM fob/Intelligent Key.

My question is this...
Once installed will I be able to walk up to the car and open the doors and trunk without have to disarm the alarm? Or do I have to disarm it first?
Will the alarm automatically shut off (When armed) and NOT make noise if I just want to open the door or trunk?

What type of alarm did you install/get installed? And how much?
The shop by my house want $400.00 for the install.

Thanks.... Sorry if theses questions have already been answered .
Any help or input would be great.

There could be variations depending on the brand remote starter that's used and how compatible the remote starter kit is with Nissan's OEM security system. For example the Pursuit remote starter only requires the use of the keyless entry button on the door handle to enter the vehicle after it's been started. (the OEM key fob can also be used). And the Pursuit remote starter will not cause the alarm to chirp after entering the vehicle and initializing the remote start by depressing the brake pedal.

The trunk can also be opened using the keyless entry button as well and will not cause the alarm to chirp. You can also enter the vehicle/trunk after the remote start has been triggered without causing the car to turn off the car as long as the doors are re-locked.
