Hello all!
That bastard, grandfather winter is on his way...So in preparation, I want to get a remote start for those ice crusted, snow dumped, bone chilling days..

I can not seem to find a remote start for the R50 (2003) Pathfinder anywhere. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

THANKS GUYS!

I find that hard to believe. There's nothing special in the R50 that prevents you from installing one.
I'm in Canada, and I have a remote start in my 2002 Pathfinder. Have had it for years.
I bought an off the shelf unit at Future Shop, and had it installed there by the audio shop.
If you're in the U.S., Future Shop is equivalent to Best Buy. (In Canada, Best Buy owns Future Shop, or vise versa).
Maybe this link will give you some ideas.

Agreed , Best buy (worstBuy) will be a good start ... they even sell them on the floor . I installed back n the day the Viper Valet remote start basically what it does is tacks on to the existing keyless remote and just adds the remote start feature..hit the lock button three times ..bugger roars to life..(thats cause my exhaust is broken ) :ohno: .

Not hard to do really

I've been doing remote starts for 20+ years and your truck is a piece of cake. All you need is the correct bypass. I use, idatalink http://idatalink.com/ ,with all of my installations. Is this something you're going to tackle yourself?

Yes I would like to install myself. Not too much experience, actually none in doing this.. lol
So get the bypass, and a corresponding remote start?

Yes. I only use directed products for remote starters. They make Viper, Python, Avital, Hornet and a bunch more but their remote starters are by far the best. And the idatalink bypass kits are also the best. If this is going to be your first time doing anything like this you need to take your time and follow all the diagrams wire for wire. Parts wise it's around $100 for the remote start and bypass.
