I was able to program it, but as I said, once I do it deletes the existing remote's code. The instructions for the J30 appears to make a distinct difference between "entry mode" and entering the code "manually". Per the instructions, when you add a remote code while in entry mode, it will delete the 3 previous codes. I'll go step by stem giving explicit details regarding what I did. Let me know if there's something missing or wrong:
1) I popped the trunk using the trunk release on the driver's side door2) With all doors closed on the car, I locked them using the power door lock located on the driver's side door3) I inserted and removed the key into the ignition 6 times, leaving it out on the 6th time4) I manually unlocked and locked the driver's side door by unlocking and locking the chrome door lock on the driver's side door5) I then hit the door lock button on the remote I wanted to add. The car responded by sounding the alarm6) I again manually unlocked and locked the driver's side door by unlocking and locking the chrome door lock on the driver's side door7) I again hit the door lock button on the second remote I wanted to add, but got no response.
Please let me know if there is someting missing or wrong in what I did. At this point my only other option is to have the dealer do it if I can't figure it out. Thanks for your help.
