If your trunk button does not work inside the car on a 93 Q45, will trying to program a new remote not work correctly or at all? I can't seem to get the after market remote to work at all.....AARGGG!

FCC numbers must match then remote must be associated with car security per FSM.

Didn't know 1993 had remotes. Thought 1994 was the first.

Well, the speedometer cluster has the security light on the right hand side so I assume it has security feature. The only problem is if the trunk button in the car does not work, will it void you trying to get the remote programmed?

ASSUMING does not replace reading FSM or owners manual.

Reprogramming the remote will not void your warranty, Do you have one?

Did you check the trunk lock button in the glove box? Does the trunk opener switch on the door work?

My bad I skimmed his post and he said something about voiding something, but Hatian King had a warranty on his 1992 Q45 (Aftermarket warranty).

I did check the glove box. Tried it with the switch both ways.
