after sorting out the oil change that didn't happen & finding the machine screws to hold the plastic p.o.s on( they put 4 of them on) i realize i'm going to have to do this myself. i know it is important to have a look underneath. after crawing around in the coral gravel w/Q on ramps & removing that frikin filter i want to consider a remote filter. who has done this? i' used the search function . did not find any Q,s w/remote filter. anybody

Might be easier and less hazardous to engine to relocate the carbon canister. Then you can go in from the top.

I put mine where my stock airbox was. Works nice.Don't use standard hoses and clamps. You WILL blow your motor!

No. You can buy the mount just about anywhere. Make sure to use high pressure fittings and hose. I had 1200psi cat hose made!

well now that i know the piece that goes on the block is called a'' sandwich plate'' my search became a whole lot easier. im still concerned about hose length. i read ''keep hose runs as short as possible''. now thats what i call definitive. im not looking to put in the trunk but the pass. side of engine bay might be in consideration. any input?

My hoses are maybe 2.5 ft long. I've never had a problem.

Did you buy a kit for a Z32/RB25 or did you put something together yourself.

Did you ever make a writeup on how to do this, ive thought about doing it for a long time.

Wherever you decide to put it, make sure the location allows the oil to drain from the hoses when you do an oil change. Depending on hose length and routing, if you don't, you might leave more dirty oil in the system than you want or is good for the car. If that's not practical, you might consider putting (a) drain spigot(s) at the low point of the hoses.
